Elk City hoops wrapped up their regular season last night with a makeup game from an earlier season postponement down in Elgin.
The Elkettes were looking to finish the regular season with their 4th straight win and a winning record. They got it. Elk City crushed Elgin 55-28 behind 8 made 3’s. Hailey Buie poured in a season high 18. Delaja Martin had 12, her 2nd straight in double figures. Freshman Ella Sottile had a career high with 10.
The Big Elks ran into a buzzsaw in the form of Owls’ Sr. Guard Jordan Wilson who scored 18 of his 24 in the first half and the Owls handled the Elks 50-39. Elk City Freshman Cole buie led the Elks with 13.
Elk City has the rest of the week to get ready for the district tournaments with Woodward coming to town Friday night.
