Class A and B Regional Tournaments came to an end in Area 1 last night after Thursday’s postponements due to inclement weather. In Class B regional consolation bracket action in Hammon, the Leedey Lady Bison’s season ended in a 39-23 loss to Tyrone. Kenna Silas and Megan Bradley had 8 apiece for Leedey. The Hammon Warriors were eliminated as well, dropping the consolation bracket final to Indiahoma 50-43. Hammon’s Lady Warriors are Class B regional champions. Hammon whipped Boise City 69-25. They had 3 in double figures with Addison Walker’s 18 leading the way. The Leedey Bison are Class B Regional Champs as well. Leedey avenged last season’s area consolation finals loss by defeating Tyrone 42-35. Luke Puffinbarger had 18 for the Bison.
In Class A Regional Final action from Mooreland last night, the AB Indians were defeated by the Texoma Red Devils 52-49. AB had 3 in double figures paced by Brett Griffith’s 18. The game of the night was the AB Lady Indians and Turpin Lady Cardinals in a Class A Regional Final. The game went back and forth throughout. Both teams had multiple chances to win multiple times. In the end Turpin outlasted AB 78-71 in 5 OTs. Hailey Cordas and Katie Edelin led AB with 23 apiece.
In other Class B girls action around the area last night, Arnett’s Lady Wildcats are regional champs with a 69-40 demolition of Okeene. Mt. View-Gotebo clipped Goodwell 43-40 in Class B boys regional finals action. Class A Girls regionals had the Thomas Lady Terriers moving on to Area after dismissing Drummond 48-37. Seiling’s Lady Cats were upset by Garber 59-51 in the Regional Final. On the boys side, Mooreland and Seiling both made it out of the regional consolation bracket. Morreland knocked out Frontier 52-45. Seiling eliminated Shattuck 61-51. That regional final saw Garber over Vici 63-53.
