Spring sports are cranking up all across western Oklahoma coming off Spring Break for most of the schools in the area.
Yesterday on the baseball diamond, Clinton won a pair of district tilts against Anadarko 20-1 & 24-2, Tipton whipped Blair 16-5, Hollis blanked BFDC 12-0, Hobart edged Cordell 5-3, FGFS clipped Hammon 3-2, FCB shutout Sentinel 10-0, Leedey doubled up Granite 2-1, Hydro-Eakly ripped Hinton 11-3, Mangum outslugged Sayre 17-10, Vici whitewashed Seiling 12-0, and Wford flogged western heights 14-0, Woodward fell to Kingfisher 10-9
On the softball field, Elk City split a pair downing Anadarko 9-7 but falling to Cache 3-0, Cache whipped Darko 12-2, Canute and AB split two. The Trojanettes were 8-0 winners. The Lady Indians win was 11-8, Leedey split two. The Lady bison outslugged Arnett 11-3 but fell to Hobart 11-5, Hobart clipped Arnett 7-6, Sayre swept two 15-4 over Carnegie and 13-10 against Granite, Carnegie knocked off Granite 7-4, Merrit slipped by Sentinel 7-6, Mooreland smoked Hammon 11-1, Wford lost a pair 11-8 to Elgin and 11-1 at the hands of Boone-Apache, Woodward blasted Buffalo 15-4
